What this is
LEAM is Libra Engine Arts & Media: an initiative of Libra Engine to create and promote vetted media. It starts with music and is not limited to it.
The Music department runs on one premise: a song is never neutral. Whatever is playing works on you while you listen, and the work it does deserves to be on the record.
The database
The Music department’s flagship feature is the High Vibe Song Database, a growing catalogue of songs selected for what they carry. It is an editorial position expressed as a catalogue rather than an essay. The selection is the statement.
Every selection has its own page. Alongside the song you will find its charge and tier, plus prose on what the song does to its listener and what it would do at scale.
The readings
Those readings come from Rising Compass, a Libra Engine instrument that measures the directional impact of cultural content. LEAM does not grade the songs itself. Each reading is mirrored here exactly as the compass returned it, open for anyone to check against their own experience of the song.
The open call
The database grows through an evergreen open call. Submitting costs nothing, and inclusion cannot be bought: there is no sponsored placement here and no pay-to-play in any form. A submission is an entry into consideration, nothing more. Every song that makes it in was chosen because of what it carries.
Who runs it
LEAM is curated and edited by Chad Lewine, a musician and the founder of Libra Engine, the entity that holds his ventures. The catalogue reflects one set of ears and one standard, which is the point.
